PREDICTING THE BEHAVIOR OF WATER AND GAS CONING IN HORIZONTAL WELLS
http://www.ogbus.ru/eng/authors/Salavatov/Salavatov_1.pdf

Coning is a term used to describe the mechanism underlying the upward movement of water and/or the down movement of gas into the perforations of a producing well. Coning can seriously impact the well productivity and influence the degree of depletion and the overall recovery efficiency of the oil reservoirs.
Delaying the encroachment and production of gas and water are essentially the controlling factors in maximizing the field's ultimate oil recovery. Since coning can have an important influence on operations, recovery, and economics, it is the objective of this paper to develop a computer program for calculating the critical oil (or gas) rate to avoid coning of unwanted fluids into production wells and to predict the behavior of water and gas coning in horizontal wells.

Keywords: predicting, coning, horizontal well, critical rate, time to breakthrough

SAGD PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT IN RESERVOIRS WITH HIGH SOLUTION GAS-OIL RATIO
http://www.ogbus.ru/eng/authors/IbatullinTR/IbatullinTR_1.pdf

Paper addresses the issue of Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) performance in the reservoirs with various solution gas-oil ratios (GOR). Results of extensive reservoir simulation study show that during the steam injection gas comes out of solution and accumulates at the edge of the steam chamber. In cases of high methane content in the bitumen the effect of gas layer development ahead of the steam front becomes detrimental and reduces the efficiency of conventional SAGD performance. It was suggested that by adjusting injected fluid composition it is possible to mitigate negative impact of the reduced heat transfer from water steam to bitumen.

MODELS OF DRILLING PROCESS
http://www.ogbus.ru/authors/Sinev/Sinev_1.pdf (in Russian)

Drilling models change during historical development of drilling from domi-nanty physicomechanical properties of rocks, mechanisms and ways razrushe-nija breeds to degree of clearing of a face. After the decision of these problems, for today, heads ths interaction of the boring tool with a chink, as uniform mechanism is. Interaction of the tool with chink walls essentially distinguishes trade drilling from laboratory and drillings of small chinks.
Drilling process expressed by dependence of speed on loading on a bit are not connected with the beginning of co-ordinates. Drilling begins since some "starting" speed and "the starting" loading creating a tension in rocks, necessary to start breed destruction. Dependence of speed on loading has spasmodic three-stage character. In rotari drilling intervals of loadings of the second step are realised: the first and the third is not applied owing to small efficiency and high breakdown susceptibility of bits. In a turbine way - the first step, at an exit from which the turbo-drill stops ("breaks").
In intervals of loadings of intensive growth of speed of drilling (ILIGSD) the bit is rejected from a chink axis. In a turbine way the bit is in such position to a turbo-drill stop. The exit from ILIGSD is promoted "by cave-in in axis coincidence" bits with a chink.
On dependences of speed on loading and frequency of rotation of the bit, established in the beginning drilling, at escalating of the tool or excesses of speed, the drilling mode is operatively corrected. In turbine drilling, besides it, it is defined contain fluid drillings rocks and a bit condition.

Keywords: drilling model, destruction of rocks, bottomhole cleaning, starting speed and starting load, "indentation in coincidence of axes" of drill bit with and a hole, an interval of load of intensive drilling speed growth (ILIGSD), a mode of "a floating heel", the volumetric diagram of dependence of speed on loading and rotation frequency, cavernous of trunk

A GLOBAL DATASET OF ONSHORE GAS AND OIL SEEPS: A NEW TOOL FOR HYDROCARBON EXPLORATION
http://www.ogbus.ru/eng/authors/Etiope/Etiope_1.pdf

Petroleum seeps have historically been important drivers of global petroleum exploration. Still today they can serve as direct indicators of gas and/or oil subsurface accumulations. In particular the assessment of the origin of seeping gas is a key task for understanding, without drilling, the subsurface hydrocarbon potential, genesis and quality, e.g. the presence of shallow microbial gas, deeper thermogenic accumulations, the presence of oil and non-hydrocarbon undesirable gases (CO2, N2, H2S). Low quality, biodegraded petroleum can also be recognised, before drilling, through specific geochemical features of the seeping gas.
Seeps are then indicators of tectonic discontinuities (faults) and fractured rocks; they can also represent geo-hazards and sources of greenhouse gas (methane) and photochemical pollutants (ethane and propane).
A new global dataset of onshore gas and oil seeps (GLOGOS) is here presented. GLOGOS includes more than 1150 seeps from 84 countries (version August 2009) and it is continuously updated and expanded. The data-set includes geographical and gas-geochemical data (molecular and isotopic composition of the main gases). Many seeps are recently discovered or never reported in other data-bases. Seeps are catalogued by country and classified in three types: gas seeps, oil seeps and mud volcanoes. All seeps have a bibliographic or www reference. GLOGOS is a unique tool for hydrocarbon exploration, assessment of Total Petroleum Systems and geo- structural studies..

DIFFERENTIATION OF TAXATION AS THE MECHANISM OF CONTROLLING THE INVESTMENT ATTRACTION OF GAS INDUSTRY
http://www.ogbus.ru/authors/Goloskokov/Goloskokov_1.pdf (in Russian)

At present the gas industry taxation in Russia is undifferentiated, which is caused by the specific character of the gas industry of Russia and in many respects by low internal prices for natural gas. Within the next five years the Government of the Russian Federation plans to increase the internal prices for gas to the level, which will provide the equal profitability of gas supply to the domestic and foreign market. This, in turn, stipulates for the necessity of introducing the differential taxation, including the skimming of excess profit. For further development of the industry the flexible taxation should be considered not only as the mechanism of the excess profit skimming and budget increasing but also as the mechanism of controlling the investment attraction of the gas industry. The introduction of flexible taxation will tell directly on the investment attraction of the projects on gas fields' development depending on the approach and parameters of differentiation. With relation to the interests of the state and investors, in the case of small gas fields the economic approach to the differentiation of taxation is the optimal one. Differentiation of taxation as the mechanism of controlling the investment attraction of gas industry.

Produced article is devoted the solution of a hydrodynamic problem of fluid influx to horizontal (HW) and to horizontally branched wells (BHW).
The task in view dares a method designed by the author taking into account anisotropy's a payment. The reviewed hydrodynamic problem of fluid influx to one (HW), is generalized on case BHW with any number of horizontal trunks. Special cases when in a bench are maintained BHW with two and three horizontal trunks are reviewed. For case BHW with three horizontal trunks at various values of their lengths, taking into account anisotropy's of a bench calculi are effected and learnt influencing locus of trunks after the relation of top of oil horizon or a base surface, and also anisotropy's of a bench on a well productivity.
The deduction that the bench anisotropic effect on a well productivity is more essential, than a layout of trunks - of horizontal holes after the relation of top of oil horizon or a base surface is drawn.
