WATER-GAS MIXTURE STABILITY FACTOR FOR PIPELINES
http://www.ogbus.ru/authors/Dolgov/Dolgov_3.pdf (in Russian)

The expression of the gas-liquid mixture stability factor for horizontal pipelines is defined. It allows calculating the maximum diameter of gas bubbles at which they are held up in the turbulent flow.
The empirical value for a coefficient of proportionality used in the expression of the dependence of bubbles maximum diameter on the stability factor is found. The stability factor amounts 0.64.
To calculate the length of a pipeline where breaking of the water-gas mixture at given bubbles diameter, pipe diameter, flow rate, viscosity and density occurs a corresponding dependence is found.

ON CALCULATION OF THE GAS CONTENT FOR THE POTOCHNOYE OIL FIELD
http://www.ogbus.ru/authors/Dolgov/Dolgov_2.pdf (in Russian)

Experimental studies of differential liberation for oils from the BV-10, BV-18, BV-22 zones of the Potochnoye oil field were conducted. It was revealed that the degassing curves are linear and have different angles of inclination and the full value of gas-oil ratio at a pressure of 1MPa. Straight-line portions of the curves cross the gas-oil curves in the same point - 14.5 m3/m3. It allowed us to establish universal dependence of the gas content on the degassing pressure, gas-oil ratio and saturation pressure.

INFLUENCE OF THE DISTANCE BETWEEN A NOZZLE AND A MIXING CHAMBER ON THE LIQUID-GAS EJECTOR EFFICIENCY
http://www.ogbus.ru/authors/Dolgov/Dolgov_1.pdf (in Russian)

The influence of the distance between a nozzle and a mixing chamber on the liquid-gas ejector efficiency is experimentally studied and described in this paper. The liquid-gas ejectors are used to utilize associated gas. The experiments conducted on the laboratory bench made it possible to estimate the optimal distance between a nozzle and a mixing chamber. The maximum value of the isothermal efficiency was recorded when the ratio of the distance between a nozzle and a mixing chamber to the diameter of a mixing chamber ranged from 3.4 to 3.7. This optimum ratio does not depend on the ejector operating conditions nor on the operating pressure in a nozzle. This ratio value is recommended for the design of liquid-gas ejectors.

http://www.ogbus.ru/eng/authors/Ivanova/Ivanova_2e.pdf (in English)
http://www.ogbus.ru/authors/Ivanova/Ivanova_2.pdf (in Russian)

The group composition of asphaltene-resin-paraffin deposits (ARPD) in the Irelyakh field and their solubility in the composite solvents on the hexane base with the additives consisting of nonionic surface-active substances (NSAS) and concentrates of aromatic hydrocarbons is determined. The results of the investigations show that the additives Neonol AF-9-10 and liquid products of pyrolysis (LPP) are most efficient. The use of these additives allows to increase the efficiency of ARPD breaking and dissolving by 1,3 - 1,6 times as compared with a base solvent. It is shown that the increase in the concentration of individual additives from 0,5 to 3% causes a decrease in the efficiency of detergent compounds.

STATUS OF PETROLEUM SECTOR IN PAKISTAN - A REVIEW
http://www.ogbus.ru/eng/authors/AdeelAhmad/AdeelAhmad_1.pdf

Pakistan economy is growing steadily. This growth demands higher energy consumption and consequently putting high pressure on countries economy. Pakistan mainly depends upon oil and gas resources to fulfil energy requirements .Indigenous resources of Oil are not enough to quench energy thirst of the growing economy. As a result Pakistan has to import large quantity of oil and oil based products from Middle East countries. Gas reserves in the country are enough for current gas requirements. So natural gas is playing a key role in power sector. Currently in oil upstream and down stream sector there are some local and international companies involved and government of Pakistan is establishing such policies that it can attract more international investors in this sector but the rapid pace of change, high degree of uncertainty and unstable political situation of the country present significant challenges and risk to foreign investment .Objective of this paper to highlight the present status of petroleum industry in Pakistan and its future prospects keeping in view the internal fluid situation and geo political condition of the region.

REGULARITIES OF PERYLENE DISTRIBUTION IN JURASSIC DEPOSITS OF WEST SIBERIA
http://www.ogbus.ru/authors/Gulaya/Gulaya_1.pdf (in Russian)

On the about 450 mudstone and 65 coal samples study very high distribution of perylenes was found in mudstones of Upper Bajocian-Lower Bathonian and Callovian deposits located in the south-east of West Siberian Basin. The highest perylene concentrations were registered in shallow-sea deposits, smaller - in lake and lagoon, rather small - in marsh-ridden areas sediments. In the estuary sediment, as well as in the sediments of relatively deep (> 20 m) sea perylenes are absent. Perylenes are resistant to oxidative conditions in diagenesis. Maximum perylene concentrations were found in mudstone at Pr/Ph ranging from 2.8-5.8, in coals - from 7.0-10.5. At post-diagenetic stage of OM transformation perylenes are linked to kerogen preserving these compounds. Releasing from kerogen due to catagenetic factors perylenes are gradually destructed. Later on release of a new portion of perylenes occurs. Rarely, but very high perylene concentrations which increased with decrease in lipid content and increases in ash content and medium pH are found in recent valley peats.

EVALUATION THE POTASSIUM BROMIDE AND ZINC BROMIDE BRINES FOR WORKOVER OPERATIONS
http://www.ogbus.ru/eng/authors/Hemeida/Hemeida_1.pdf

Clear brines are used extensively as workover fluids because of their low damage characteristics. This work was conducted to study the physical properties of potassium and zinc bromide brines and the compatibility of these brines with different API gravity Saudi crude oils and formation water. Also, the effect of temperature on brine viscosity was studied. It was found that true crystallization temperature for potassium and zinc bromide brines were (-14 C) and (-25 C), respectively. These brines were found incompatible with the tested Saudi crude oils where stable emulsions were formed but light crude oil (42 OAPI) was compatible with potassium bromide. Also, potassium bromide brine showed compatibility with formation water while zinc bromide was incompatible with formation water because of NaCl scale precipitation. The tested brines have shown non-Newtonian (dilatants) behavior and the viscosity of brines decrease with increase in temperature. Viscosity - temperature correlations were found for the tested brines with high accuracy.
